A wallet is what lets you hold, send, and swap $ROBBIE — it's the app that manages your keys and talks to the blockchain on your behalf. You'll need one before you can do anything else on this page.
Custodial vs. non-custodial
A custodial wallet (like an exchange account) holds your keys for you — convenient, but you're trusting someone else with custody. A non-custodial wallet means you alone hold the private key and seed phrase. Most people buying a token like $ROBBIE will want a non-custodial browser or mobile wallet.
What we recommend
Two solid, widely-used options that both work with Robinhood Chain:
- MetaMask — the most common browser-extension wallet for EVM chains. Available for Chrome, Firefox, and as a mobile app.
- Phantom — originally a Solana wallet, now also supports EVM chains including Robinhood Chain.
Setting one up
- Install the extension or app from the wallet's official website — never from a link someone sends you.
- Create a new wallet and carefully write down your seed phrase on paper.
- Store that seed phrase somewhere offline and private. Anyone who has it can take everything in your wallet.
- Never type your seed phrase into a website — no legitimate site will ever ask for it.
